Dues
Q. What enforcement is allowed for negligence in non-payment of dues? (Will they be called dues?)
A. The proposed Metro District, as well as the current Sanitation District is able to lien the property for outstanding dues, submit it to the county, and have it added to the County Property Tax collection. The outstanding dues will then be collected by the county and passed on to the district.
Q. In the end I think each homeowner really just wants to know what costs they would be expected to pay as the process currently stands, and how that will change when a Metro District is formed, as each homeowner needs to budget. I mean, we received an increased assessment on the last quarterly bill with no real explanation. Is there an actual financial analysis of the current expected costs of the Sanitation District, and how those would be paid in the current situation, as opposed to a Metro District? Then I would like a copy to understand the expected expenditures and costs.
A. The Budget is on the website. Since the Metro District cannot issue any debt without a vote of membership, it is not foreseen to see increased dues, without the consent of the membership.
